Hippo has created a splash at two UK leisure centres in time for the summer. The installation of a pirate-themed Water Factory has revived the leisure pool at Torquay Riviera Centre, while Hippo’s popular interactive play panels have brightened up Saltash Leisure Centre.
The Riviera Centre's 'beach area' has been transformed into a Water Factory to encourage water confidence and swimming in children of all ages and abilities. It comprises of a Hippo Waterball with two arms (water wheel and shark shower) and a span arm arch (water wheels, small and large tipping buckets, pelican squirt) which joins to a short mast for high and low level play. A pirate-themed interactive toddler slide has also been installed.
Riviera Centre is now planning a second interactive play installation to expand the Waterball with another mast and large tipping bucket with splash board. The baby pool will also be rejuvenated with a selection of Hippo splash toys, including interactive play panels.
Saltash Leisure Centre has recently had three bright and colourful interactive Hippo play panels installed, including Diver, Who Pairs Wins and Splash. The panels provide sound and touch interaction and incorporate an educational element to play in family and fun swim sessions.
