Interlink, the France/UK based water ride specialist, has signed a contract to provide a new log flume ride to PowerPark in Finland for opening during the 2013 season.
This latest project for the company involves the design, manufacture and supply of a two lift Super Flume for PowerPark, situated in Härmä , Finland.
The new ride will feature two lifts and two drops, one of 7m and another of 14 m, and will have an overall circuit length of approximately 400m.
It will incorporate a 12m long station section and utilise a total of nine, six-seater boats, providing a capacity of 600 passengers per hour.
The ride - whose theme will be 'Bridge over the River Kwai' - will be situated in a new area of the park and integrated into an existing bridge structure.
The sound track from the film will be used throughout the ride and not only will the bridge be a major theming back drop but it will also be used as access to a new Thai restaurant. Views from the bridge will give visitors a bird’s eye view of the complete attraction.
Other forthcoming projects announced by Interlink include a two lift log flume for a pier in the southern United States and another water ride for a park in Europe.
Details of both will be revealed later in the year.
