Swann plays gongs as part of his music therapy - sounds that are now available on CD through Zen and Sounds Records
Zen and Sounds Records has released a volume of gong bath sounds for spas, recorded by Swann sound therapist.
Available on CD and digital formats, the recording Sunset includes one hour of meditation sounds produced by the gong bath group therapy meditation technique.
This is an ancient Asian sound bath method that aims to produce a sense of relaxation and well-being through the vibration of all the water within the body.
The sound vibrations emitted by the gongs send signals that are interpreted at the biological levels to relax the listener.
Swann works with several symphonic gongs and offers two types of treatments.
Healing group meditations involve a sound bath where the therapist uses planetary gongs and Tibetan bowls.
Individual treatments include sound massage using therapeutic bowls placed on and around the body; one-to-one gong bath where the client sits in front of a big symphonic gong played soft and deep; and watagong - a water-flow session in a pool at body-temperature, accompanied by a gong bath transmitted underwater through waterproof speakers.
